Wow, I always knew you had a great voice. I am so glad to see that you are doing such great things around the world. I guess I have to trip over to Cali to see you live. Or if you are in San Antonio or Texas ever, let me know. Blessings on you old friend! I'd love to hear from you!

Kenny, you are the best. I am a musician also and everytime I get to hear someone of your talent, it is a reminder that amidst all of the commercial casos under the guise of music, there truly are some great singers and you are one such singer. I heard of you by accident while listening to the jazz station and I said, "who was that? That guy can really sing!" then I went on the search to hear more of your vocals. I admire and appreciate your skills and if you come to Philadelphia, I hope to get to see and hear you live. I only ask that you never let anyone compromise your style, your skills or your choice of songs because those of us that really appreciate music need to hear refreshing sounds of someone such as yourself. Thanks Kenny!

Waaaay back in 1992 I was introduced to you at the Pacific Princess at Guam by my mother, Cecelia Johnson, who used to nourish you with some cooking (garlic cheese grits, fried apples, etc). I just heard a song of yours played on the NPR station here in Pittsburgh and nearly tore my car! Great to hear you still singing and swinging. If you get to Pittsburgh, holla!

Wow!!! Kenny I was trying to find another friend of mine named, Jeff Jones on the net and I stumbled upon your Verrazano moon. I was completely slain by your anointing. I hope that I can hook up with you for a chat...and get some of your music to take back for my show.

Hi Kenny,
I remember watching you and Pat Palomo on Guam. I used to hang out and sing with Dave Santos and Ray Unpingco in the UOG Chorale. I remember when you came down to Inarajan Middle School as Ray's guest speaker to talk to his students. The kids were so awestruck by you! You still have that magical voice and sound I remember! I'm so glad I found your website and will be ordering some cds soon. Take care and I hope to hear from you sometime.

Mr. Washington, YOU are the most incredible NEW ? YOUNG ? singer in the universe and you always have my full attention when listening to your recordings on KCSM in The Bay Area. Bob Parlocha, Dick Conte, Lee Thomas, and loads of other DJ's on that FM Jazz Station present you again and again. I have a music background as a vocalist and have made a life-time study of the voice as an instrument of beauty in jazz, classical art song, opera, folk/irish and celtic and bluegrass. YOU have the perfect combination of exquisite technique and the richness of warmth inherent in your magnificent vocal sound! I adore it and your beautifully crafted and integrated performance with the outstanding musicians, with whom you work. Though I have not seen you in person, I intend to treasure that experience as soon as possible [probably at Yoshi's-SF]. Your inventive and creative approach to vocal music in general exceeds all my expectations! My best and warmest wishes to you as you continue to dazzle and amaze your appreciative public. Hey Kenny. I was one of the students in The Sitka Jazz Festival two years ago.
Just wanted to say thanks again for truly influencing my approach to scatting and giving me advice and inspiration that I'm sure few on earth could have been able to give in the extent that you managed to.
Hope you're rocking harder than ever, and that all is well. Keep up the amazing stuff.

Kenny : So nice to hear a fellow male jazz singer . I am too a singer from Ottawa Canada . I have been singing for about 7 years and really would like to get to the postion you are as a singer . Often it seems like the male jazz singer is a rare bird . Like you I sing standards and is a pleasure to hear your approach to the songs . Would love to talk shop some time . I gig about twice a month and have a regular day job.
Looking forward to hearing from you .
You can check me out on Myspace .

Hey Kenny,
Just had to drop a line and tell you how blown away I am with your CD I got at Nich's house party last weekend! I've been playing it all week and have shared it with everyone I come in contact with. We had a Seattle Jazz Campers brunch today and you were the topic of conversation. Those of us who were fortunate enough to hear and see you feel really blessed. You must come back soon!
I've been practicing scatting with your "All Blue". Don't think I'll ever get to where I'm comfortable scatting at a gig but it gives me a reason to listen to your arrangement over and over again. You've won me over....course I was there the minute you opened your mouth last weekend.
Looking forward to having you in the great NW again real soon.

I also want to thank you for inspiring me to play sax those many, many years ago which in turn led to my career as a music educator.
